The article deals with the specific issues of the environmental differentiation of the water protection zones with the classification of the coastal area of the Kuban river on the degree of anthropogenic load in the Karachay-Cherkession Republic. During the last few years the research shows more and more that the development of the state programs for the environmental protection and water resources should include the science-based complex of the environmental measures.
