Article focuses attention to necessities of studying of an ecological situation of the small rivers as basic sources of maintenance of the population fresh water, in particular the Baza River of Ilishevsky area of Republic Bashkortostan. The author analyzes hydrochemical indicators of the Baza River, an optimality of a technological mode of biological treatment facilities and their contribution to river pollution, influence of polluting substances on organisms of hydrobionts, and also offers variants on prevention of pollution of the Baza River.
