The article deals with the comparison of the values which are estimated with the help of the linear-correlation pattern of water balance and those which are observed at water balance stations of water balance elements. The results of the comparison show some closeness of the estimated and observed values. The following parameters are compared: infiltration, three types of soil absorption at different stages of the runoff formation, total evaporation, water surface evaporation, layer of surface detention in the catchment area, soil moisture, water storage in the soil. These parameters of water balance make it possible to decide a number of practical problems. Whereas there are no other methods of analytical estimation of the mentioned parameters at the present time.
