The monitoring of lands in the Ufa district of Bashkortostan Republic has been conducted using the GIS technologies. The processes which might render negative impact on vast territories of arable lands have been analyzed. The present-day economic utilization of farm lands in the region has been assessed. It is shown that 97.0% of arable lands are in good condition. However, there are still about 54.8% of lands that need the technical level of their reclamation systems to be improved in order to prevent degradation processes in them.
