The representative periods for assess river's bed formation discharge that based on conducted assessment of the annual and maximum runoff fluctuations of Styr river were allocated. The spatiotemporal assessment of bed formation discharge of Styr river's basin were performed according to N.I. Makkaveev technique. The compliance between river's bed formation discharge and picks of Chezy coefficient was confirmed. An alternative approach to assessing river's bed formation discharge based on graphs Q=f (C) was offered.
