The problem of water sharing is still on the top of its relevancy in Central Asia. Over 15 years since gaining independence, the countries from this region managed to avoid large-scale water conflicts. However, continuing debates related to changed mode of exploitation of transboundary rivers, such as SyrDarya and AmuDarya, cause anxiety and concerns about future in Central Asia.
