The paper analyzes various ideas regarding the reasons of Sayano Shushenskaya Hydroelectric Power Station (HPS). By reflecting upon the accident occurred on 17 August 2009 and analyzing the Report on technical examination of accident reasons, the author presents his own ideas about the accident, which occurred as a result of destruction of hydroelectric generator No.2 (GA-2) and related structures.
