Stratification of morphological structure of the floodplain landscapes is determined by reduced influence of fluvial factors and increased role of non-fluvial factors with distance from the river bed. With an increase in river’s water content, the landscape structure of floodplains becomes complicated and the quantity of layer options increases - from 1-2 in stream plains to 15-20 in the floodplains of large rivers. The type of stratification and altitude ranges of terrains are determined by vertical river bed deformations and river water regime.
