This book is dedicated to the principles and technique of computer modeling for water resources management. Model development methodology, decomposition, and information support are taken as a whole. An importance of legal and economic environments is considered for managerial decision making. Particular emphasis is put on the results of decision support system development in the area of efficient water use. Selection of water protection measures is demonstrated via examples of solution of concrete problems related to the Volga River Basin. Focus is placed on enlargement of classical ideas of mathematical economic models to a scale of integrated models that account also natural aspects of water-related activities.
The book is dedicated to experts who deal with the use and study of water resources, building and realization of related mathematical models, to the staff of water-management organizations, as well as to students and post-graduates of respective specialization.
