(Kazakhstan) The paper gives the assessment of current condition of hydrological and hydrochemical regimes of Ili River. It was noted that the regime of river Ili depends on the sewage waters discharge of the right bank of Sorbulak channel and Kapshagay reservoir. As the result of executed research, it was identified that the main cause of changes is the construction and exploitation of Kapshagay reservoir in 1970.
