The research results for relation of a pressure gradient and a length of concentrated course of filtration to study factors are cited. The derivation of relations was made by dimensional regression analysis and experimental design. Obtained relations are intended for the forecasting of a pressure gradient for embankment of canal in fill with canal capacity from 50 to 100 m3 per second and the assessment of the length of concentrated course of filtration in it with an area of water section from 15 to 150 m2 as well. The given calculated relations take into account all key factors affecting on the processes of filtration. Each of them is controlled and has a certain domain. On the basis of derived relations the precautionary measures to prevent the possibility of an accident of a large canal can be developed in advance.
