The establishment of agricultural extension services is a very topical issue at present. These services were to develop a farmer assistance strategy with the support of project experts, who worked closely with the staff of WUAs. Based on identified needs and problems of farms, the extension services have set various technologies to overcome the former and improve productivities of water and land.  The project made assessment in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan to identify specific conditions of farms in each of the countries. On the basis of accumulated material, the project will develop a strategy and mechanisms allowing efficient use of innovation technologies in agriculture.
