Shaazizov F.Sh. About Development of Decision-Support System for Identification and Prevention of Hazardous Flooding Zones (Case-study of High Altitude Break-Prone Lakes in Tashkent Province)

The article presents the results of studies on high-altitude lakes in Tashkent province. Based on approximate procedure for estimating breakout wave formed as a result of dam breach, the main parameters of this wave were calculated and floodable zones were identified for Pskem and Koksu river basins due to advancement of breakout wave along the given rivers. The calculation results were drawn on a digital map generated in ArcView 3.2a.
