Russia and Central Asia are vast territory rich in natural resources. Management of these resources often are results in the struggle between good environment and opportunity for development of economy and industry. In the light of common history between the two countries, it is imperative that the Central Asian republics and Russia have worked together on the formation of policies and regulations conducive to sustainable development and environmental protection.
