According to the inhabitants of the Altai village Kapustinka, numerous dams on the river Kulunda lead to its dehydration.
Baevskiy region has levees in several villages, that at the end of summer leads to a drying riverbed. According to the villager, the problem lies in the fact that cleaning the riverbed, which is built up levees no one will do.
