Monitoring the water of Amur Bay in Primorye in 2010 showed that the ecological status of waters is extremely difficult because of the effects of hypoxia - oxygen deficiency in bottom waters, told RIANews on Thursday, Vyacheslav Lobanov, the deputy director of the Pacific Institute of Oceanology .
For several years, scientists have regularly monitor waters of Amur Bay as its ecological status has long been a concern. Recent findings in 2010 showed that the situation remains dire in the first place due to siltation of the bottom caused by lack of oxygen in water.
