In St. Petersburg, in public corporation "SIC after the name of B.E. Vedeneev" took placed Fifth Scientific Conference "Hydroenergy. New developments and technology". At the plenary and breakout sessions of the conference discussed a number of issues of critical importance for the further development of the domestic hydropower.

Among them - the relevance of research in reliability and security of HPS, the need for increased international contacts of Russian experts to explore the latest achievements of world hydropower development and planning of innovative projects and their implementation in practice of Water Engineering, intensification of work on technical regulating the industry, questions management of research and innovation.
