Reclamation of old-irrigation land, development of large virgin regions by using advanced irrigation (ditch network, canal lining) and drainage systems. Construction of large reservoirs and intake structures; development of a set of land reclamation and agronomic measures to control soil salinization; improvement of irrigation system operation and irrigation technique by using new design of watering equipment.
