The article presents the calculation of the filtration flow depending on the changes in cross-section of the channel. Loss expense filtering prove that water supply will be changed with cross section of the channel, depending on this changes the stability of slopes canal: stability of slopes parabolic-shaped cross-section provides an outline of the profile of the parabola (degree parabola), polygonal shape of the cross section of the channel provides stability of slopes while reducing bandwidth on top compared with trapezoidal cross-section, trapezoid shape of the cross section of the channel is the most stable, as the stability of earth slopes is provided by the value of the coefficient of pledging. Given the dependence, which help to evaluate the bed of the channel on filtration losses and edit cross-section, which improves the durability and efficiency of channels in earthen channel. According to the results of the calculation, you can make the following conclusion that changes to a cross section of the channel filtration consumption does not significantly change as a result of siltation of the bed of the channel, but the risk of failure of the channel is full bed siltation and termination of water supply to irrigated fields. The risk level shows that in the period of operation of the channel will be increased filtration rate, which is not acceptable, as it will be destroyed slopes of the channel, which will cause the flooding of adjacent territories.
