 This Volume presents results of the research made by young researchers in such areas as geography, hydrology, hydrophysics, hydrobiology, hydrochemistry, paleolimnology, and modeling.
In contrast to previous events held by the Research Training Center of IWPN since 2007, this Conference has brought together many more Russian and foreign researchers.
The Conference is aimed to enhance communication among talented youth in science and education under close collaboration of national and foreign universities and research institutes.
The Conference was organized as part of celebrations dedicated to 25th anniversary of the Institute for Water Problems of the North and 70th anniversary of the RAS Karelian Research Center.
